Security guards represent your company at the gate. A wrong hiring decision can create legal issues and damage trust with staff and visitors. Here is a simple checklist we suggest when you evaluate any private security agency in Rajasthan.
1. Verify the agency licence
Ask for a copy of the licence issued by the state authority. Check:
- Name and address of the agency
- Valid-from and valid-till dates
- Issuing authority and serial number
A genuine agency will share this openly and may also display it at their office and website.
2. Ask about guard selection & training
Good agencies follow a defined process: ID & address checks, police verification where required and basic physical and soft-skill training. Ask how many days of induction training guards receive and whether refreshers are conducted.
3. Check supervision and night rounds
Guards need supervision. Confirm how often a field officer will visit your site, especially at night. At our deployments we use surprise checks and digital reporting so clients can see who visited and when.
4. Understand deployment strength
For large sites or events the agency should be able to quickly add extra guards, supervisors or PSOs. Ask about their total manpower and how many sites they manage in your city.
5. Clarify responsibilities in the contract
A written agreement should clearly mention guard duties, working hours, equipment to be used, leave replacement, billing cycle and liabilities. Always insist that wages and statutory benefits are paid as per law – this directly affects guard morale.
6. Speak to existing clients
A quick call to two or three present clients gives you the real picture. Ask them about punctuality, behaviour, response during incidents and how the agency handled complaints.
