Banks and ATMs handle high-value cash and sensitive customer information. Even a small lapse in security can lead to financial loss and loss of trust. Here are some of the core practices we follow while guarding banking locations in Rajasthan.
1. Strong access control at the entrance
The gate is the first line of defence. Guards are trained to:
- Observe people entering and look for unusual behaviour.
- Discourage loitering near the entrance and ATM lobby.
- Ensure helmets, masks and tinted glasses are removed where required by bank policy.
2. Clear positioning during cash hours
During heavy cash movement (opening, closing and special cash days) guards stand where they can:
- See cash counters and the main door together.
- Guide customers into a queue to avoid pushing and arguments.
- Assist bank staff in temporarily stopping entry if crowding occurs.
3. ATM lobby checks
For ATM-only sites, our guards and supervisors check that:
- CCTV inside and outside the lobby is recording and lenses are not blocked.
- Lighting is bright and any flickering tube is reported.
- Posters or stickers have not been placed to hide the camera view.
4. Coordination during cash replenishment
When cash vans arrive, timing and coordination are critical:
- Guard is at the door before the van reaches the site.
- Only authorised bank / vendor staff are allowed inside during the process.
- The door is secured, and customers are politely requested to wait outside until the operation is complete.
5. Panic situations and fake rumours
Guards are briefed on how to handle situations like arguments at the counter, crowd panic, rumours about cash shortage or technical issues. The goal is to stay calm, inform the branch manager and prevent escalation.
6. Night security for standalone ATMs
For 24x7 ATMs, night duties include:
- Frequent outside patrol within visible distance of the ATM.
- Checking shutter locks, glass doors and nearby alleys.
- Reporting any technical fault or damage to the bank helpline immediately.
Our team has experience managing security for banks and ATMs in district and semi-urban locations. If you manage financial outlets in Rajasthan and need a structured security deployment, we can propose a plan based on your risk level and layout.
